Celebrate the 51st season of the Lyric Opera of Kansas City at the Lyric Opera Ball entitled Hard Hat - Top Hat: Building for the Future, Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center. The evening inspired by the future remodeling of the Lyric Opera rehearsal and production space will include cocktails, hors d’oeurves, a five-course dinner, a silent auction and dancing to the Steve Miller Band. Audiences young and old will be swept away to the zany port of Penzance where everyone’s favorite “model of a modern major-general” will leave you aching from laughter over the slight miscalculation of a February 29th leap year birthday.
